Most Of MY MEMBERS COME TO ME BECAUSE OF:
Food Doubts
Many women struggle with the idea that losing weight means they must limit their food intake drastically. This often leads to a frustrating cycle of restrictive eating and inevitable bingeing. My approach teaches you how to enjoy a balanced diet that includes all foods, even those indulgent treats, in moderation. If it's not sustainable, it's not needed.
Extreme Notions
The belief that weight loss requires extreme diets or relentless exercise routines is not only daunting but also unsustainable and NOT TRUE. I advocate for realistic and manageable lifestyle changes that fit into your busy schedule. You don't need to live at the gym or survive on salads—let’s find joy in fitness and make it a natural part of your daily life.
Cutting Out the Fun Stuff
It' makes me so sad to see so many women cutting out the foods they love in the hope of dropping a few dress sizes. This approach is not only unnecessary but also likely to lead to long-term failure. Together, we’ll discover how to maintain a pleasurable diet that includes your favourite treats, balanced with nutritious choices that fuel your body and spirit.
Let's rewind. After my mum died in 2013, I found myself lost in grief and gradually gained weight, reaching nearly 22 stone by 2021. As a new mum, I felt like a stranger in my own body.
In summer 2021, with COVID restrictions easing, I aimed to lose a stone for our first family holiday. Inspired by a friend's success with a meal replacement diet, I decided to give it another shot but included normal food. This ignited my love for calorie counting, and dieting finally made sense. I lost a stone in 3 weeks, and although our holiday was cancelled due to COVID, I continued learning about calories and creating low-calorie versions of "naughty" recipes.
By April 22, I had lost 120 lbs. I felt incredible, even accepting a job in London that involved commuting—something I wouldn't have considered before.
In November 2022, I fell pregnant with our second son. Despite being lighter, I experienced severe pelvic girdle pain and heart arrhythmia, making even walking difficult. I gained 5 stone during the pregnancy, but this time I wasn't overwhelmed. I had the knowledge and tools to lose the weight when I was ready.
The journey wasn't easy or perfect, but it was mine. I reached my pre-pregnancy weight in 8 months and now want to share what I've learned with you.
That's why I founded The Calorie Academy—a sanctuary for women seeking sustainable change without sacrifice. If you've ever felt lost or alone in your journey, know that you're not alone. Together, we can rewrite our stories and embrace a future filled with strength, vitality, and endless possibilities.
